Abstract

Measurement of random pulse length is usually done with a storage oscilloscope. An instrument can be made which uses a crystal controlled frequency counter which is turned on and off by the pulse. The counter reads out on an LED display of three digits, but a six digit count can be read by switching to the three most significant digits. The circuit operation is explained. Maximum signal strenth can not be over fifty volts. Construction is covered briefly but full diagrams and parts list are shown.
