James Hersma: 'Be prepared' credo still works for Novation's CEO

Novation CEO James Hersma is an achiever and his latest accomplishment is helping to create this giant supply chain management company in Las Colinas, TX. Hersma, who said accomplishments are an end result of focus and drive, was invited to head the new company after a successful stint at CIS Technologies Inc., a Tulsa, OK-based health care software company that had a successful turnaround during his stay. Novation, created in 1996 by the merger of the health care supply operations of VHA Inc. of Irving, TX, and the University HealthSystem Consortium, serves around 30% of US hospitals and almost 5,300 health care cmopanies in the US.
