Expansion takes flight at American Aircarriers

American Aircarriers Support Inc. (AAS) has written a letter of intent to acquire Fort Lauderdale, FL-based Turbine Inspections Inc. and Global Turbine Services in a deal worth $1.2 million. The purchase, which is set to be completed within one month, is part of the company's expansion announced by AAS Chairman Karl Brown in spring 1998. Both Global Turbine and Turbine Inspections have also assented to hand over inventory worth $4 million to AAS. Brown stated that the purchases reflect the company's growth as a publicly traded business.
