Abstract
- Conde Nast's The New Yorker magazine has announced its editor, Tina Brown, has left her post at the magazine to become a partner in a multimedia company being established by Miramax Films, a subsidiary of Disney. Brown, who served as the fourth editor in the magazine's 73-year history, will be replaced by David Remnick, a New Yorker staff writer. Brown's contract with The New Yorker expired on July 1, 1998. Conde Nast also lost the editor of its 108 year-old Vogue magazine, Ron Galotti, who will also join Miramax Films' multimedia company. Galotti will be replaced by GQ publisher Richard Beckman.
