Abstract

Twenty two percent of Harvard Business School's (HBS's) class of 1985 went to work for consulting firms, with an average base salary of $55,000. Although HBS graduates have a good reputation, some qualities of HBS graduates and the HBS program indicate that instead of teaching leadership, the school may foster conformism. HBS students seem to lack a strong moral character and creative vision. HBS students are 'doers' but seem to possess a strong ruling class consciousness.
