Abstract

The nonlinear self-refraction of acoustic pulsed beams, which include shock fronts, is studied. The medium of sound propagation is a gas where thermodynamically non-equilibrium processes take place, such as exothermic chemical reaction or excitation of vibrational degrees of a molecule's freedom. Comparative analysis of the features of sound propagation over gases where pure nonlinear attenuation of the shock wave occurs, and gases with non-equilibrium and equilibrium processes, is performed. Le milieu de propagation du son est un gaz dans lequel se produisent des transformations thermodynamiquement hors d'equilibre, comme des reactions chimiques exothermiques ou l'excitation des degres de liberte vibrationnels des molecules. Nous completons avec une analyse comparative des caracteristiques de propagation du son dans des gaz ou l'onde de choc est soumise a une pure attenuation non lineaire et dans des gaz ou on trouve des transformations hors d'equilibre et a l'equilibre.
