Abstract

Large scale restoration companies can help risk managers in recovering from a catastrophic loss. Often restoring is more cost effective than rebuilding. Restoring cuts business interruption time dramatically. Risk managers should interview and choose a restorer prior to a loss. Large restoration company fees are often less than the loss of business that could result from lengthy delays. Large restoration firms work twenty-four hours a day with extensive staff to minimize time. Corrosion control from soot fallout must be implemented immediately to prevent further damage to machinery and computers. Planning for the worst before it happens is always cost effective.
