Interior IG traces deepwater ban peer review misunderstanding

The United States Department of the Interior's (DOI)inspector general's office has found that the government's recommendation for a moratorium on deepwater drilling did not undergo a scientific peer review. Scientists and the oil and gas industry have expressed concern over the findings. The moratorium was based on the DOI's recommendations.
