Abstract: Membrane-type acoustic metamaterials are prepared and analyzed to understand their acoustic response. The mechanisms responsible for the transmission loss (TL) peak are understood by mapping the out-of-plane dynamic response of the structure under acoustic loading at discrete frequencies.
