Trapped hybrid modes in solidly mounted resonators based on c-axis oriented hexagonal crystals

Abstract: A hybrid mode in ZnO solidly mounted resonator (SMR) devices is described. The performance of the device is simulated by using COMSOL platform, the eigenfrequencies of the structure is examined and a hybrid mode is found that is trapped both vertically and laterally in the ZnO film.
