Abstract

New or improved animal feed ingredients should be analysed and evaluated to determine its value in animal nutrition. The nutritionist should first do a chemical analysis before starting animal acceptability trials. Digestibility should be evaluated and the feeds should be compared to confirm the usefulness of the product or by-product.
