Effect of host cells on low- and medium-pressure UV inactivation of adenoviruses

Abstract: The effect of three different host cell lines on the low-pressure (LP) and medium-pressure (MP) UV dose requirements of adenovirus (AD) serotype 5 (AD5), AD40, and AD41 is examined under similar experimental settings. The studies have shown that the use of different cell lines for AD enumeration has affected LP UV dose results more significantly than MP UV dose results.
