Abstract

Shock wave compression experiments are used for analyzing Zr-based bulk metallic glass (BMG, [Zr.sub.51][Ti.sub.5][Ni.sub.10][Cu.sub.25][Al.sub.9] in atomic percent) up to 110 GPa. The studies have not provided any evidence of phase transition in the shock experiments of the Zr-based BMG.
