Proposed ozone standard would devastate US economy, API warns

The American Petroleum Institute warned that a proposal to reduce the national primary ozone standard to 60 parts per billion would hurt the US economy. US gross domestic product would be reduced by $676.8 billion in 2020, while job losses would reach 7.3 million if the EPA adopts the proposal.
