Abstract: A study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of different antiretroviral therapies in women who were given peripartum single-dose nevirapine. Results indicated that in the case of women with such peripartum exposure, ritonavir-boosted lopinavir plus tenofovir-emtricitabine was found to be far superior as a form of initial antiretroviral therapy.
