Abstract
- Application of electrostatic complexes containing a cationic conjugated oligoelectrolyte (COE) and fluorescein (FAM)-labeled single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) as the basis for identifying various bacteria is demonstrated. The quantified changes in the PL spectra upon addition of the bacteria and the differential response from the five ssDNAs gave rise to a multicomponent array response to facilitate identification of the microorganism.
