Abstract

Synchrotron X-ray and neutron powder diffraction methods are employed to study the structural and electronic properties of BiCo[O.sub.3] under high pressure. The constructed pressure-temperature phase diagram of BiCo[O.sub.3] based on the structure changes allowed the transition temperature at ambient pressure to be estimated as 800-900 K.
