Abstract: A liquid jet flow cell was designed to understand the mechanism underlying the zinc sulfide particle formation on the time scales down to [10.sup.-5] s. The highly rapid growth of zinc sulfide particles is controlled by the diffusion of the hydrogen sulfide into the liquid jet.
