Abstract
- A study analyzes the implications of the relative accessibility deprivation indicators for urban settings such as distance traveled and type of individual by applying them to the case of food deserts in Montreal, Canada. Results reveal the variations in accessibility to food services between individuals in low-income households and the reference group, and the impact of vehicle ownership for the purpose, thereby highlighting the social exclusion implications of the factors.
