Abstract: The impact of prosocial and adaptive behaviors and postconflict factors on former Sierra Leonean child soldiers' mental health outcomes is examined. Findings show that community acceptance is linked to improvement in internalizing problems. Externalizing of problems and suggestions regarding psychosocial interventions are presented.
