Abstract
- A study was conducted to gain insight into the oxidative stress-induced regulation of phosphorylating MKK6 in presence of apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1 (ASK1) which is a serine/threonine kinase that responds to stress-inducing signals. The result data suggested that oxidative stress rapidly increased ASK1 catalytic efficiency for MKK6 phosphorylation by increasing MKK6 binding affinity within the ASK1 signalosome prior to induction of inactivation and degradation of the complex.
