Abstract

The successful use of a prototype 100 Gb/s single-polarization differential quadrature phase shift keying transmitter and receiver of the LambdaXtreme optical transport platform to transmit video is discussed. This demonstrates the feasibility of upgrading an existing network to 100 Gb/s per wavelength without hardware or software changes.
