Hydrogenation: a simple approach to realize semiconductor-half-metal-metal transition in boron nitride nanoribbons

The first-principles computations are employed to study the interesting electronic and magnetic properties of fully and partially hydrogenated boron nitride nanoribbons (BNNRs). The electronic and magnetic properties of zigzag BNNRs accurately modulated by controlling the hydrogenation ratio, provided BN nanomaterials many potential applications in the novel integrated functional nanodevices.
