Abstract

Global warming reduction can be realized by using ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) concrete that can lighten and increase the albedo of surfaces. Higher albedo means that reflected solar energy is bounced back into the outer space. How GGBS-related global warming reduction is expressed in terms of carbon dioxide emission is also discussed.
