Teacher preparation: reforming the uncertain profession

Limited opportunities for non-degree holders, public education quality and the looming shortage in the profession are some of the challenges that need to be addressed through enhanced teacher preparation. Teacher residency programs and promotion of student outcomes through the Race to the Top Fund are discussed.
