Structures of [beta]-amyloid peptide 1-40, 1-42, and 1-55-the 672-726 fragment of APP-in a membrane environment with implications for interactions with [gamma]-secretase

Several molecular dynamics simulations are conducted to explain the structures of the [beta]-amyloid peptide 1-40, 1-42 and a fragment of amyloid protein precursor (APP) present in a membrane environment. The differences observed in the structures of the protein and its precursor are also discussed.
