Volume versus surface-mediated recombination in anatase Ti[O.sub.2] nanoparticles

Abstract: The radiative recombination dynamics in size-controlled anatase Ti[O.sub.2] nanoparticles are studied. The spectral shift and the different time dynamics have provided a clear distinction and the intrinsic nature of the emission have provided a quantitative evaluation of volume and surface contributions.
