Abstract
- Paleontological studies indicate that insects have dominated regions marked by fauna since the late Paleozoic age. The timespan includes the evolutionary transformations of many life forms, including whales and dinosaurs. Evidence of the dominance and diversity of insects from an early age is being uncovered and will be discussed at the Fourth International Congress of Dipterology in Oxford, England in Sep 1998.
