Abstract
- An ideological restructuring of the public sector in Victoria, Australia, has resulted in significant economic and social changes. Privatization, downsizing and free markets have altered employer-employee relations, with jurisdiction turned over to the Commonwealth. Despite a few small victories, labor unions have been unsuccessful in maintaining traditional industrial relations structures.
