Abstract
- Derivation of the aortic systolic and diastolic pressure from the pressure and flow measurements from peripheral vessels can be done using a transfer function that uses a time domain approach. The aortic systolic and diastolic pressures can be estimated from the hemodynamic parameters of the brachial and carotid artery. The vasoactive state of the vessels does not influence the prediction significantly.
