Abstract

The probability of open channels and the total number of sodium channels were determined using a modified method of blocker-induced noise analysis to investigate the response of early time-dependent response of blocker-sensitive epithelial sodium channels (ENaCs) to stimulation using aldosterone. Results reveal that the early response of these channels to aldosterone stimulation is to increase the density of apical ENaCs.
