Abstract
- The extracellular factors as well as the chemical and physical issues involved in the aggregation of Azospirillum brasilense cells were examined using a medium for consistent induction of aggregation. Results showed the occurrence of visible flocculation following the use of fructose and ammonium chloride in growing the A. brasilense strain, The strongest aggregation were observed from a mutant that lacks both lateral and polar flagella.
