Abstract
- A study of Canadian engineering graduate employment rates outside technology occupations reveals that there has been no significant increase of engineers working outside technological occupations except in management. The study uses data from the National Graduate Surveys and study results also show that non-engineering occupations do not appear to offer advantages over more traditional occupations but with non-technical occupations offering certain advantages for at least some engineering graduates when a 'mover-stayer' analysis is used on the data.
