Regulation of a cloned epithelial Na+ channel by its beta- and gamma-subunits

Research shows that the beta- and gamma-subunits of an epithelial sodium channel work together to inhibit channel activity. Experiments designed to assess the effects of beta-subunit truncations on the open probability of channel activity using rat colon tissue are described. Immunofluorescence assays and cell current analysis techniques are reported.
