Aon Group Inc's efforts to expand continue unabated despite its acquisitions of several large rivals since 1997 and the problems related to integrating those purchases. The brokerage arm of Aon Corp acquired three of the world's largest insurance brokers in 1997 and two more in 1998, yet it considers itself only halfway in terms of achieving its potential. Aon has over 600 offices worldwide and 33,000 employees. Aon Corp increased its total corporate revenues by 47.9% to $5.75 billion from 1996-1997.
