Superparamagnetism of granular Fe-MgF2 films

Abstract: Magnetic properties of Fe particles, with the size around 2 rim, in granular Fe-Mg[F.sub.2] films were investigated by DC and AC magnetization measurements. Anomalous two cusps appeared in zero-field cooled magnetization and AC susceptibility against temperature. Large nonlinear susceptibility suggests the freezing of moments induced by magnetic interaction between particles. Index Terms - fine particle, non-linear susceptibility, superparamagnetism
