Abstract

In the past, productivity improvement strategy has been neglected in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). In recent years, the trend has changed and SMEs are looking for new manufacturing concepts and technologies. An attempt has been made to look into productivity improvement strategies in a small company with the help of a case study. The study was conducted at Valeo, a French company in the U.K. producing wiper systems for the automotive industry of the United Kingdom.
