Abstract
- Integrated concurrent engineering (ICE) is a new method for creating the conceptual design of projects made by the aerospace industry. It involves seven principles, including team playbooks and schedules, classes of products, integrated information systems, tailored facilities and dedicated team leaders experienced in processes and disciplines. Research being conducted at various institutes such as the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and TRW's Space and Electronics Group imply that ICE has the potential to constitute breakthroughs in aerospace technology.
