Abstract
- Insights are given on how Jean Cocteau's 'The Eiffel Tower Wedding Party' reflected the relationship between human desire and mechanization and between technology and theatricality The play shifts away from the theatrical representation of life, toward the assumptions that inform the desire for photographic reproduction. Cocteau presents a creative process inherent in the destruction of theatricality.
