Abstract
- A novel approach was developed for analyzing the temperature-domain of primary and secondary dielectric relaxation phenomena in a nonlinear optical side-chain polymer. The approach was based on measurements of the dielectric function obtained at the frequency range of 30 hertz to 30 kilohertz with constant heating rate of the polymer. Compared to broadband dielectric relaxation spectroscopy, the procedure consumed less time, thereby causing fewer problems with thermally induced chromophore degradation.
