Psychometric properties of Chen, Gully, and Eden's 'new general self-efficacy scale' in a Greek sample

Abstract: The aim of the present study was to translate and investigate the psychometric properties of the New General Self-Efficacy Scale with a group of 551 Greek children (269 girls, 282 boys; ages 9 to 12 years, Grades 4, 5, and 6). A confirmatory factor analysis was performed which verified the one-factor model. The reliability, validity, and item analysis appeared to be adequate.
