Abstract: The Online Computer Library Center's (OCLC) Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC) has fostered effective cooperation among libraries. The CIC has been effective in maximizing the use of information resources and in improving the delivery of information and library services. The CIC is also spearheading the Virtual Electronic Library Project that would further enhance existing library services.
