Abstract

Companies need to acquire cutting-edge technology and train their workers to effectively use this technology in order to maximize output and maintain a competitive edge. The significance of information technology training is obvious in the fact that the nation's corporate training market increased in value to more than $60 billion in 1997, of which about $20 billion was spent on corporate training. The issue of training is further complicated by constantly emerging technological innovations. Virtual classrooms promise a cost-effective solution for teaching technology.<br />Companies can save time and dollars by combining live classroom training with videoconferencing.
