Abstract
- Kenya has long been known for relative stability despite being composed of around forty different ethnic groups. However, tensions simmered between the country's largest ethnic groups. Kofi Annan, Secretary-General of the United Nations, saw an opportunity to give some new credence to interventionism, and was able to stop the country from splitting up along ethnic lines.
