Most Americans overestimate college costs, poll shows

The American Council on Education reported that college costs are lower than the public estimates. A survey report found most adults do not know how much a college education costs or why tuition rates increase. The public overestimates the price of college and assumes a majority of families cannot afford the cost of higher education.
