Abstract
- A study was conducted to describe a processor allocation method called Loop-Level Process Control that dynamically adjusts the number of processors an application is permitted to utilize for the simultaneous execution of each parallel section of code. The technique is transparent to the programmer and does not need the support of any special programming language. Moreover, it can be integrated at the user level while minimizing scheduling bottlenecks.
