Abstract
- A study was conducted to examine the chemistry of glycosylases and endonucleases associated in base-excision repair. DNA repair enzymes need other enzymes to complete the DNA repair process. Alkylating agents associate with DNA to establish several modified bases while an array of enzymes maintain the DNA integrity and DNA repair mechanisms. DNA repair enzymes plays a major role in the cell that promotes a better understanding of various diseases such as cancer.
