Abstract

The US Trustee Program safeguards the integrity of the bankruptcy system by intensifying efforts to curb bankruptcy fraud which comes in the form of debtor fraud, automatic stay abuses, serial filing and bustouts. It works by via a referral system where panel trustees relay information, through letters or telephone calls, that detect and refer criminal activity for prosecution.
