Abstract

Research was conducted to study the wide supercooled liquid region and soft magnetic properties of Fe(sub 56)Co(sub 7)Ni(sub 7)Zr(sub 0-10)Nb (or Ta)(sub 0-10)B(sub 20) amorphous alloys. The objective is to search for a new amorphous alloy with a wide supercooled liquid region before crystallization and good soft magnetic properties. Results showed that glass transition and supercooled liquid region occurred in the temperature range before crystallization.
