Abstract
- It is widely believed within the housing sector in the UK that too high a proportion of insufficient investment is being made in renovating the worst social housing. Housing professionals feel that investment needs to be increased and that more emphasis should be placed on maintaining good quality social housing before it declines into a very poor state of repair. However, some observers point out that it is wrong to believe that an easy choice can be made between investing in the best and the worst social housing.
